From Eugene, Oregon

West on Highway 126
Explore the shops and historic buildings in Florence's Old Town. Florence is also the gateway to the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area.
Continuing North on Highway 101
Explore rocky tidepools at Cape Perpetua Scenic Area. The rocky chasm of Devils Churn provides an excellent spot for photographers.

Yachats is perfect for fishing, agate hunting and picnicking. You may also enjoy browsing through the many small shops or pausing for an ice cream.

The community of Waldport on Alsea Bay is a fishing and crabbing mecca. The Alsea Bay Bridge Interpretive Center is also worth a visit.

Seal Rock State Park offers beach access and restrooms and Lost Creek State Park has a paved trail to the beach for wheelchair access.

The Hatfield Marine Science Center offers informative displays and intriguing marine animals. Oregon Coast Aquarium, one of Oregon's most popular attractions, is located next door. The historic Yaquina Bay Bridge was dedicated in 1936. The Yaquina Bay Lighthouse at the north end of the bridge is a state park and home to a museum.

From Corvallis, Oregon
West on Highway 20 through the mountains from Corvallis, connecting with Highway 101 in Newport.
The Old Town Bayfront of Newport offers a mixture of shops and fresh seafood. You'll also find Undersea Gardenbs, The Wax Works Museum and Ripley's Believe It or Not. The Nye Beach Historic District, the original resort area of Newport, is home to the Yaquina Art Museum, Newport Performing Arts Center and Newport Visual Arts Center.

Continuing north on Highway 101
The often photographed Yaquina Head Lighthouse, just north of Newport and south of the resort, was built in 1873. There is wheelchair access to the tidepools.

From Portland, Oregon
West on Highway 26 to Highway 101, then south on Highway 101
The rugged beauty of the Coast Range, along with Haystack Rock and the Needles, has turned Cannon Beach into a favorite site for artists, photographers and kite flyers.

Tillamook is home to Oregon's largest cheese factory, the Tillamook Cheese factory. The Blue Heron Cheese Factory, Tillamook County Pioneer Museum and Blimp Hangar Museum are also enjoyable places to stop. Take the Three Capes Scenic Loop and discover the Octopus Tree, the Lighthouse at Cape Meares, Three Arch Rocks National Wildlife Refuge at Oceanside and dory boat launching from Pacific City. Back on Highway 101, you'll reach Neskowin, one of the coast's oldest towns.

From Salem, Oregon
West on Highway 18 through the Coast Range from Salem. It connects with Highway 101 just eight miles north of Lincoln City.
With over seven miles of beaches, Lincoln City is known as the "Kite Flying Capital of the World." Shop in galleries, antique shops or the Factory Outlet Stores. The Devils Lake State Park complex offers boating and picnicking.

Just north of WorldMark at Gleneden, your other Oregon Coast resort, is Salishan Lodge and the Marketplace at Salishan, an intriguing collection of shops.

Boiler Bay State Park gets its name from a small freighter than sank in 1910. Its boiler washed ashore and has remained there to this day. The wayside has picnic facilities and fine photo opportunities.

At Otter Rock, you'll find Devils Punch Bowl State park, named for the collapsed caldera that fills with water at high tide.

At Depoe Bay, enjoy shopping, whale watching and storm watching from one of its many restaurants.

Cape Foulweather was named by Captain James Cook on a particularly inclement day in 1778.
